Natalie Milom, LCSW

Peeps, welcome! I'm Natalie Milom, a Black Therapist and Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with over 14 years of experience working with couples and families. I’m stoked about helping US build strong, deeply connected, authentic relationships with those we love most. One way I do this is helping folks have deep, sometimes painful conversations that really get at the root of disconnection and hurt.
In my day job as a therapist, I specialize in attachment trauma, which involves emotional and physical injuries caused by those we love most and trust with our lives. My work is informed by my advanced training in Emotionally Focused Therapy for Couples (EFT) through ICEEFT and EMDR therapy through EMDRIA. These specialized therapies allow me to help clients heal relational wounds and create deeper connections.
Because Black Love is my jam and we have ancestral and present-day trauma that impact our safety and how we move through the world, I'm also a PhD student studying effective therapeutic interventions with Black couples. I'm unapologetically committed to helping Black couples co-create the safety needed to experience the fullness of love and acceptance within their relationships.

What is Hold me Tight?
Hold Me Tight® is a structured workshop for couples based on Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) developed by Dr. Sue Johnson. The workshop used the conversations in the book Hold Me Tight® and helps couples strengthen emotional bonds, improve communication, and navigate key conversations to deepen intimacy, address unmet needs, and resolve relationship challenges.
Couples will learn to identify negative interaction patterns, understand their emotional responses, and engage in more supportive and loving ways. The name Hold Me Tight® reflects a core EFT principle: physical and emotional closeness, symbolized by holding each other, fosters security and connection in the relationship.
